Mark your calendars! We're having our Dia de los Muertos celebration saturday 11/1! Food and drink specials will be available all day from 12-9PM and then we'll be joined by magdaliz roura at 6PM for live music!

Join us at Sor Ynez for a celebration of food, agave, and conversation with acclaimed drinks writer Caroline Pardilla, celebrating her new book, Margarita Time. Guests will enjoy a four-course, family-style feast—three savory dishes and one sweet—paired with four snack-size margaritas inspired by the colorful array featured in Caroline’s book! Caroline will guide us through the drinks of the evening with stories and annecdotes from their makers! The night begins at 6:00 PM with mingling and drinks available for purchase at the bar, followed by dinner service at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $125 and include a signed copy of the book, food, margarita pairings, tax, and tip.

Cookbooks & Convos, presented by Sisterly Love Collective, is a vibrant culinary experience celebrating the incredible women shaping Philadelphia’s food scene. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to empower and honor the female chefs and authors whose talents keep the city’s culinary culture thriving.

Recognizing the enduring charm of the beloved “The Book and The Cook” festival (1984–2007), Sisterly Love Collective set out to rekindle its spirit in a contemporary format. Cookbooks & Convos carries this tradition forward with a fresh twist—a celebration of culinary excellence and an invitation to connect, learn, and be inspired by the rich tapestry of women’s contributions to the culinary world. ALL ARE WELCOME!

The 2025 series will run from October 27 to November 10, featuring special dinners, author meet-and-greets, and engaging culinary events.

Join us on September 20th, from noon to 4 PM, for Tamaliza! Sor Ynez will partner with local chefs for our 2nd Annual Tamaliza —a tamal celebration and chef competition with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to Philadelphia’s Mexican Cultural Center. This event is open to the public, with PAYG Tamal and drink specials.
